Fugazi was/is/will be an anti-band.  They sold tickets because they needed to.  They charged for CDs because they needed to.  And since they didn’t need t-shirts…they didn’t sell them.  They didn’t sell hats, keychains, posters or even action figures!  I know, right?  To be honest, I never thought I’d do a Fugazi or a Pink Floyd list because of a new release.  Over the past month, I get to do both.  No, this is not a new album, but a reissue of the band’s first demo.  Close enough.

Side projects and supergroups always draw amazing attention but usually end-up disappointing greatly.  It’s hard for an artist to experiment with a new sound because of the expectations they bring with them.  A few artists manage to exceed expectations usually by throwing a big curve.  If it is too outside the box, it tends to scare listeners away…and if it’s too inside the box…it leaves listeners wondering what the point was in the first place?  Billie Joe of Green Day and Norah Jones of pianos team-up today to play a collection of Everly Brother songs.  Which side of the box does this fall In?  Out?  Under? The 11 Best Bands Who Should Reunite to Play Coachella

They crammed all my favorite bands into Saturdays line-up, so I was left with no choice but to watch the Chili Peppers.

One of the best things about Coachella is guessing with iconic band will reunite for that year’s show.  This list taps into the wet dreams of all the indie kids heading out to the desert every year.  For a list of the best bands who are still together that have never played together…check yesterday’s list.  I excluded a couple of groups (N.W.A., The Replacements) because they were missing dead members.  I only did this to narrow down the list.
